14 March 2023 at 09:35 The person in the tent identified – probably died three years ago The person who was found in a tent at Sandsli on 26 February has now been identified and next of kin have been notified. – We have identified a man in his 50s who has lived in Bergen, says Grunde Næss, section leader for investigations at Bergen Sør. The investigations the police have carried out indicate that the man may have died in February 2020. They have not found any information to suggest that the man should have been subjected to a criminal act. At the request of the next of kin, the police will not release the man’s name. The man was found in a tent in a wooded area, but with buildings nearby. – We do not know what the cause of death is, says Næss.
