31 May 2023 at 16:53 Historic decision: The light rail will go over Bryggen in Bergen The light rail to Åsane has caused headaches for politicians and residents in Bergen for over ten years. This afternoon, the majority in the city council decided that the track should go in front of the world heritage Bryggen to Åsane. The Labor Party and Liberal City Council in Bergen secured a majority with the votes from SV, MDG, KrF, Venstre, two representatives from the Center Party and Redt. The city council in Bergen hopes to start construction in 2025. Much depends on how much of the bill the state takes. The new national transport plan comes next year.
