On Friday afternoon, the parties reached an agreement in Østfold. The Labor Party, the Center Party, the Socialist Left Party, the Red Party, the Green Party and the Pensioners’ Party must cooperate. On Friday, it became known that the leader of the INP is withdrawing from the party. He becomes independent and supports the Labor Party. Thus, the Labor Party gets enough mandates to form a majority in the county council. Fallout election for the Industry and Business Party The by-election was a fallout for the Industry and Business Party, which saw an increase from 2.9 per cent to 6.8 per cent support in Moss. Before the ordinary election in Moss was declared invalid, INP entered into electoral technical cooperation with the Red-Greens in Østfold. But after the re-election, the party was clear that they had not decided on a side. On election day, county electoral lists for the Industrial and Business Party were missing from one of the polling stations in Moss for seven hours. When all the votes had been counted, INP was only seven votes short of securing its second mandate in the county council. The party therefore demanded that a by-election be held in Moss. On 4 October, the INP was heard by the Ministry of Local Government and Districts. Then the county council election in Moss was declared invalid.
