The kleptocat Siri can’t get enough of self-knitting – news Trøndelag

The cat Siri lives at home with Tone Lund in Trondheim, and pays her rent in stolen seals. Where he stole them from, only the thief himself knows. – Nice, but embarrassing It all started with a seal on top of the cupboard in the living room. – I thought maybe someone had forgotten about him again after a visit, even if it was a bit strange now in the summer, says the cat owner. Gradually, more and more mittens came to the house, and Tone understood that it was Siri who was behind the growing pile of self-knitting. Here lies a small pile of loot from Siri the cat. Owner Tone Lund says it’s starting to get embarrassing. Because even if the gesture from Siri is nice, and the mittens are of extremely good quality, the owner thinks it’s getting a little embarrassing. – It’s starting to get a bit boring – someone is knitting these nice mittens. Tone Lund has hung a poster on the letterbox and appeared in several newspapers, where she has called for the mysterious knitting machine. Unfortunately, no luck so far. Here you can see Siri and the knitwear. Matmor hopes the owner sees the video and reports! A solution? In order to clarify all sides of the case, news has contacted Hanne Kristin Rhode. She is a well-known Norwegian lawyer, author and former police chief. Rhode believes there are three possible motives behind Siri’s criminal desires. Motive 1 Siri can be an unusually empathetic soul who sees that there are other kitty cats in the neighborhood who do not come in at night and are outside freezing. The theory is that she is now driving and hoarding to like-minded weasels who don’t have the opportunity to be warm. Motive 2 Another motive could be that Siri is very fond of her owner, as many cats are. Now she wants to help her owner with the high electricity prices. Siri wants the owner to stay nice and warm for the winter. Motive 3 It could also be that she occasionally gets a little annoyed with her owner, as we know cats can be, and makes her own fur den. Whatever the motive, the solution to the problem is quite simple with the technology available today. – What the owner of Siri should do is get a collar with GPS. Then she sees where she hits the mittens. Rohde has a degree in law from the University of Oslo, and has worked in various positions in the police from 1989 until she left as head of the section for violent and sexual crimes in the Oslo police district in 2014. Photo: Morten Bendiksen Very busy with clothes That Siri likes woolen clothes is nothing new, says Tone Lund. – She usually goes into the hall and gets a woolen scarf to make a path around the house. Then she puts scarf after scarf, and wants me to walk on them. The same applies to wool sweaters and mittens, which she highlights. They want stepmother to get dressed. The cat is also service minded and, according to Tone, uses to put clothes on the edge of the bed for her every morning. – She goes up to the 2nd floor and picks up the clothes, then lays them out nicely before she wakes me up. It may therefore seem that it all started as a sweet and innocent interest in woolen clothing, but that it has gone too far. The result has led to Siri being nicknamed “kleptocat”. – So if someone is sitting at home and needs six pairs of gloves, they are at my home. Siri the cat is probably too busy with clothes.
