Having been sentenced in absentia on November 12 to three years in prison for arranging his insolvency to evade repaying his debts, Mouly’s situation escalated when an arrest warrant was issued against him. He was apprehended while attempting to board a flight in Rome.

As per airport sources, his flight is scheduled to land at Roissy airport towards the end of the Wednesday evening. His legal representative, Me Philippe Ohayon, expressed disbelief, stating, "All this mobilization surprises for a case of secondary interest in public order," in an interview with AFP.
