A 52-year-old man is said to have been rescued in a “complex rescue operation” in southern Gaza. He was kidnapped by Hamas from Kibbutz Magen on 7 October last year. – His medical condition is normal and he is being transferred to hospital for further medical examinations. His family has been updated with details and the IDF is following up with the family, they say in a statement. Spokesperson Daniel Hagari also confirms the rescue operation at X. The rescued hostage has been identified as Farhan Alkadi Qaid, and the name has been published with permission, according to the IDF. He has 11 children, the last of whom is said to have been born after he was captured by Hamas. Qaid is the eighth hostage to have been rescued alive.
