There have been several budget leaks on Monday morning. Among other things, the government wants to spend NOK 90 million on stopping economic crime. They also propose to set aside 100 million to stop gang criminals establishing themselves in schools. More youth places NOK 400 million goes to catching young criminals faster and giving punishments that work. Støre says at Monday’s press conference that there are many children and young people who commit crime. These must be met with faster reactions and punishments that work according to the prime minister. – We aim to double the capacity of youth prisons in 2025 and aim for a tripling in 2026.
