Bottom-fixed offshore wind: The turbines are permanently mounted on the seabed. These can be built up to a depth of around 50-60 metres. Floating offshore wind: The turbines are anchored but floating. These can be placed in deep water and further from the coast. Hybrid solution: Several power cables that carry the current from the wind power plant to several places, for example Norway, another country and an oil platform. Radial solution: A power cable that carries the current from the wind farm to one place, for example the mainland of Norway.
