– The good weather only lasts today – news Sørlandet – Local news, TV and radio

– It seems that the good weather we have only lasts today, says Per Egil Haga, meteorologist on duty at the Meteorological Institute. In Southern Norway, Eastern Norway and southern parts of Rogaland, a lot of rain and heavy showers are expected from Sunday evening, but mostly on Monday afternoon and evening. The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has issued a yellow warning for rain that applies until a little later on Tuesday. – Especially on Monday, we expect that there could be quite intense rainfall in the afternoon and early evening, says Haga. – Check drains Many places will receive 30 to 40 millimeters within 24 hours, and some places may receive as much as 70 millimeters. This can lead to a lot of storm water, and Haga advises people to prepare. – Before the rainfall, it may be good to check that drains and drains are open so that the water can flow out more easily. He is also aware that driving conditions can be difficult. – If you are going out for a drive, there may be a lot of storm water on the roads so that accessibility may be slightly reduced and there may be a risk of aquaplaning. Danger of thunder Agder seems, according to the meteorologist, to be exposed to large amounts of rainfall both in the east and west. – It is difficult to say exactly where we will get the most intense showers, but they can come in the west, in the east and all over, says Haga. In addition to the danger warning for rain, a yellow gale warning has been issued in several places from Sunday evening. But it is not just precipitation and wind that people can expect in the next 24 hours. – There is also a danger that there could be thunder, especially in the coastal areas beyond Monday afternoon and evening, says Haga. Several have shared photos of the weekend’s fine weather, but on Monday it seems to end. Arnhild Mølbach Reinholdt has shared a morning picture from Skuggevik in Tvedestrand. Hovden is hidden under the fog in the picture from Helge Reber. Bodil Gammelsæter has sent in an autumn picture from Vegår on Saturday evening. Terje Abrahamsen made the trip to Odderøya on Saturday morning. The weather will continue throughout the week – It will be gray weather further into the week with a mixture of rain and showers and we are not ignoring the fact that there may also be quite a lot of precipitation on both Thursday and Friday, says the meteorologist. But the temperatures will be quite high, despite the stormy weather. – It can be over 15 degrees, perhaps up to 17-18 degrees. So the weather will be a bit mild, even if the rainfall and perhaps also the wind point more towards autumn weather, says Haga. Nevertheless, we can get some nice autumn days later in the month. – A high pressure over North-West Europe can come towards Southern Norway and mean that we will probably get some fine autumn days again in the last week of September, says Haga.
