The leisure boat, a rib, was moored to a floating pier at Stabbestad just outside Kragerø. – It is a boat that is deep in the water because a walrus has gotten into the boat. We have people on site who are trying to get it out, says duty officer Harald Kleppo at Sør-Øst 110 to NTB. There were people on site who reported what had happened. It is not known if the animal is injured. – The boat is hanging in the mooring, but the walrus is lying asleep, so we are a bit confused about what to do, Kleppo says to VG. – It is a little size, so we are waiting a bit, he says. In May, a walrus was observed sunbathing on the pier in Langesund. It is not known if it is the same walrus. (NTB)
