18 October 2023 at 07:42 The fate of Gudbrandsdal cheese will be decided this afternoon The board of TINE is meeting at Gardermoen this afternoon to deal with two cases. One of the cases concerns the “red cheese” from Gudbrandsdalen. The sale of brown cheese has fallen over many years, and therefore it must now be decided where production will take place in the future. TINE currently produces brown cheese in Byrkjelo, Lom/Skjåk and Storsteinnes. In addition, the board will deal with a case on how to organize production, warehouse operations and distribution in southern Norway. TINE states that production has halved in this part of the country in the last ten years. The case involves the facilities at Frya, Oslo, Sem, Kristiansand and Sola.
