And despite the fact that in Flekkefjord one should not carry out gastro-surgical interventions, according to the state administrator, who has concluded that the law has been broken. The botched operation caused the cancer to spread, and the man received a worse prognosis. He is still ill with cancer today, and it is uncertain whether he will ever fully recover. – A battle against the hospital The hospital does not acknowledge that they have made any mistakes in the case, but have entered into a settlement with the patient for compensation. – It is a relief, because this has been a battle. And the financial aspect always hangs over you, says the patient, who for legal reasons cannot disclose the amount of the compensation. Communications director Signy Svendsen at Sørlandet Hospital confirms that a settlement has been reached. – Sørlandet Hospital is satisfied that the parties reached an agreement, says Svendsen. news has been in contact with Omarchanov’s Norwegian lawyer. It is the second doctor from the hospital who has been under investigation in the past year. – It doesn’t seem like they take things seriously. The whole management should go, the lawyer believes.
