12 December 2022 at 14:00 The deportation of Takako (83) postponed – UNE processes the case anew The deportation of Takako Ellefsen, the 83-year-old Japanese widow who had a deadline to leave Norway on Christmas Day, has been postponed. The Norwegian Immigration Service (UNE) has decided to postpone implementation of the decision pending its new examination of the case. It was VG who reported the case first. UNE expects that a new decision will be available around the turn of January-February. Up until this point, she is staying legally in Norway, says her lawyer Alexander Nyheim Jenssen.
