The Conservative Party agrees with five parties on city council cooperation in Bergen – news Vestland

After the election, the Conservative Party has sat in probes, or talks, with a number of parties in the center and on the right. Now they believe they have found a solution. The Klosterhagen agreement is to be signed at the place of the same name in Bergen at 3 p.m. This could mean the end of a four-week-long tug-of-war for power in Bergen after the election. The signing will take place here this afternoon. Photo: Linnea Skare Oskarsen / news Broke negotiations and election promise The Conservative Party emerged victorious from the election as by far the biggest winner, but obtaining a governing majority has been anything but easy. Much of this is about the Bybanen. Several party leaders have pointed to difficult discussions this week as well, and Trond Tystad in Bergenslisten said on Wednesday that they required “a few adjustments”. The right-wing city council leader candidate Christine Meyer entered the election as a guarantor for not touching the adopted light rail route to Åsane along Bryggen. Guaranteed that the Conservative Party would not go for a rematch of the light rail route along Bryggen to Åsane. After the election, she entered into negotiations with KrF and Venstre, but later broke with them – and her own election promise. Since the Conservatives turned the tables on the inflamed issue, they have spoken to the parties that do not want the light rail to run along Bryggen: Frp, Center Party, Bergen List, Industry and Business Party (INP) and Pension Party. These are also the ones who will attend the signing later today.
