There are no circumstances in the Court of Appeal’s decision that provide grounds for an appeal to the Supreme Court, the press release states. The Attorney General is the supreme leader of the prosecution, and professionally responsible for all criminal proceedings. “In the judgment, the Court of Appeal has pointed out shortcomings in the prosecution’s investigation and prosecution work. The Attorney General has naturally noted the criticism. Based on this, the case’s public interest, its outcome and significance for those involved, the prosecution will carry out an evaluation with a view to identifying any learning points”, writes the Attorney General in the press release.
