The accused will be remanded in custody for four weeks. The woman has appealed the decision. – It is as expected, but she disagrees with the result, says defender Jens Bernhard Herstad. – Difficult situation – The woman does not admit criminal guilt, and believes she has not caused the damage, says police attorney Ylva Kvikstad after today’s prison meeting. – Who was present when this happened? – Two people. The aimed, and the insulted. She says they work from several hypotheses. – Also the hypotheses that it was an accident, that an accident has occurred or that it could be self-inflicted, she says. Several witnesses have been interviewed, but as far as the police know, no one else was present during the incident. Anne Kroken is a solicitor for the relatives of the deceased. – It is a terrible message to receive, and a difficult situation to be in. The woman was sentenced to 90 days in prison. It was VG who mentioned the verdict first, but news has also read it. – The fact that she has previously been convicted of rape does not in itself have much to say for this investigation, says Kvikstad.
