But where there was only one goal before the break, the Vikings turned the game around in the second half in what became a terrific goal show. The home team did not give up until it was 7-3 on the scoresheet. – It is absolutely fantastic. It must have been the best break talk ever in Viking. We agreed that we should enter the box, come with lots of energy and intensity and hope for a goal in the first ten minutes, and it went perfectly, Zlatko Tripic told TV 2. In front of TV 2, the Viking captain opened up about what which was said during the break when they were 0-1 down: – I said that everyone had to say something, but there was no point in getting angry or scolding anyone. We knew it was going to be insanely tough, because HamKam is a solid team. We had to show how much we wanted to win. When you score seven goals, you show it. Nicholas D’Agostino, Sander Svendsen, Sondre Bjørshol, Lars-Jørgen Salvesen, Shayne Pattynama, Zlatko Tripic and Harald Nilsen Tangen scored the goals for Viking. In addition to the aforementioned Kirkevold, John Olav Norheim and Aleksander Melgalvis ended up on the scoring list for HamKam. The victory sends Viking up to third place in the table. HamKam is in sixth place, but can be overtaken by both Odd and RBK later this evening.
