24 January 2023 at 09:25 Telenor downsizing with 200 employees Telenor is reorganizing and cutting 200 positions in Norway. The employees must have been informed about the downsizing at a general meeting today. – We want to be even more customer-focused and appear clearly as one Telenor, regardless of whether you are a broadband, TV or mobile customer with us, says managing director Birgitte Engebretsen in Telenor in a press release. – At the same time, we must increase value creation and make the way we work more efficient. We are therefore making changes to some of our divisions. The changes mean that there will be fewer managers and a flatter structure, according to Engebretsen. Permanent employees who are affected by staffing reductions will be offered a severance agreement. Thus, the number of Telenor employees will fall below 3,000 in Norway. In the year 2000, the company had 20,000 employees in Norway.
