6 March 2023 at 18:45 Technical error on fire engine puts Sogndal Airport out of service A technical error on the fire engine at Sogndal Airport means that planes cannot land. The airport will be closed until tomorrow. A spare fire engine is on its way from Florø and will probably be in place this evening. Airport manager Kjell Otto Gjesdal tells Sogn Avis that the fire truck does not meet all technical requirements, and that they are therefore not allowed to land planes. – It’s a starter motor that suddenly gave out, says Gjesdal. Tonight’s flights are canceled or diverted to other airports. (news/NTB)
