They are demanding higher compensation and restitution after the so-called social security scandal. Both were wrongly sentenced to prison. They believe the state has paid too little in compensation. Evensen and Halseth are two of three people who are currently suing the state together with the organization Nav-upryddingen. The case started in Oslo district court at 9 am. A class action has been put on hold pending a decision in this case. As many as 7,500 are affected by the social security scandal. 86 were wrongly convicted, several of whom received prison terms.
