7 November 2023 at 20:18 Strong krone crash – the euro costs close to NOK 12 The Norwegian krone falls sharply in value against the largest trading currencies on Tuesday: One euro costs NOK 11.97 on Tuesday evening. The euro has strengthened by 1.05 per cent during the day, and a full 14 per cent so far this year. One dollar costs NOK 11.19 on Tuesday evening, and has become 1.15 per cent more expensive today. The dollar has also become 14 per cent stronger against the krone this year. One Swedish krone costs NOK 1.02, and has become 1.17 percent stronger on Tuesday. The sharp fall in the krone comes after stock market turmoil in recent days, and a steep drop in oil prices of more than 4 percent on Tuesday.
