23 February 2023 at 15:55 Saltvik Pedersen can have Kitzbühel gondola named after him Paraalpinist Jesper Saltvik Pedersen will be able to try his hand at the slalom course in Kitzbühel in a historic World Cup race next week. If he wins there, he can collect a cash prize, in addition to having a gondola in the legendary ski resort named after him. The last time cash prizes were awarded was during the WC in Lillehammer last year. In a press release from the Skiing Association, national team manager Hans Blattmann says that he believes the race will promote the para sport in a “really cool” way. Pedersen has been in great form this season and became WC king when he won four golds in the championship in Spain earlier this winter. Magnus Valø Balchen will also participate in the competition for Norway. The two races take place on 27 and 28 February. (© NTB)
