The northern part of the central railway station in Stockholm has been evacuated due to a bomb alarm, writes the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. A police operation is now underway after the discovery of a suspicious object at the station. – The only thing I know is that we are carrying out investigative work at the site, and that part of it has been blocked off, says Nadya Norton at the police to the newspaper. The police inform that they received the alarm at 6pm, but do not want to say anything more for the time being. – I can only say that we control an object. Bomb technicians on site Aftonbladet reports that the suspicious object was found during searches of persons. – I was going to take my train, but then there were civilian policemen who drove everyone out and said “everyone has to get out, there is a suspected bomb”. Then they blocked off, says a witness to Aftonbladet. At around 18.20 the police expanded the cordoned off area, and bomb technicians will be on the scene. Several arrested Several people have been arrested in the operation so far, according to Expressen. Everyone must be in connection with the suspicious object. SVT reports that a person has been arrested in connection with the blockades, but is unsure whether the arrest has anything to do with the bomb alarm.
