The board of Spellemann has chosen to go back on the merger of several prices that was done in connection with the registration for Spellemann 2024. This means that it is again possible to register for publications at separate prices for the categories “Contemporary” and “Classical”. – The change comes as recognition of the various artistic expressions, traditions and developments within both genres, writes the Spellemannprisen in a press release. The Spellemann changes also apply to the awards “Composer” and “Låtskriver”, and the awards for “Blues” and “Country”, respectively, which are also not combined anyway.
