And that there is someone walking around with valuable information. – I don’t think anyone has gone to the grave without telling what they have done, says Rugaas. In a Facebook post, she now asks for new tips: “We want to try this way of getting in touch with someone who might know something about what happened at the time, (…). Someone HAS to be inside with some information!” The post has been shared more than 10,000 times, and new tips have arrived, says Rugaas. She has previously also employed a private investigator. – I don’t get help from the police, so I have to work myself, I have found out. Will investigate new tips The Agder police have been submitted to the criticism from Rugaas. – Whether the case in 1981 was investigated as a criminal case or a pure missing persons case, that does not change the police’s possibilities today to carry out investigations into what happened to Marianne, says prosecutor Terje Kaddeberg Skaar. At the same time, he emphasizes that the police will carry out investigations if they receive new information. – Marianne is still missing, and if tips or information come to the police that can bring us closer to the answer to what has happened to her, the police will investigate it. Prosecutor Terje Kaddeberg Skaar tells news that he is very understanding that Marianne’s parents want answers.
