– It is my job and my life. I am completely paralyzed and shaking, says Heilo to news. She posted on Facebook on Wednesday, after discovering that the closet hanger with all her musical equipment and art had been stolen. The post has since been shared well over 30,000 times. Heilo is known from the band Katzenjammer and was on the TV 2 program “Hver gang vi møtes” in 2019. On Wednesday evening, according to Heilo, a new clue appeared in the case. – A neighbor came and knocked on my door, and said that his son had seen a white Tesla Model 3 connected to the trailer on Tuesday at 9 p.m., she says to news. – So it has been observed stolen. And that is progress in the case, continues Heilo. Promises free concert tickets for the rest of her life And in her 20s she saw yet another hope. Heilo tells news that she was tipped off that someone had left a trailer at a bus stop in Gol. Sol Heilo is a well-known music artist. Photo: Lars Erik Ertzgaard Ringen Heilo originally tried to pass the tip on to his followers on Facebook, but Wednesday’s Meta trouble created challenges. – I wanted to ask if someone could actually drive over there and check. They get free concert tickets from me for the rest of their lives if they find it, says Heilo. news sent someone over to check whether it could be the trailer in question. But it probably wasn’t, as the license plate numbers were different. Thus, the cupboard hanger has still not been found. – I felt incredibly alone The stolen property is worth over one million kroner, according to Heilo. The artist thanks for the fierce commitment to find her hanger. – I am completely overwhelmed. This morning I felt incredibly alone and on bare ground. Then I published one post, and then it just exploded, says Heilo. When she reported the theft to the police earlier on Wednesday, she had little hope. Sol Heilo has sent photos of some of the instruments that have been stolen. This is a specially made drum from Hamburg. Banjo which is specially made for big stages. Specially made mini-kick. Specially programmed electric accordion. – Now they have opened a case. They realized that the media was on the case, and then I think maybe that gave some speed to the process. I am extra grateful for that, says the artist. – Thefts happen all the time, and the police have limited capacity. I didn’t have any great expectations that so much would happen there, she adds. – Playing little detectives The car and the trailer were parked outside Heilo’s home in Bærum. It was when she was going to drive her children to kindergarten on Wednesday morning that she noticed it was missing. – Now I do private detective work. And then I also have all my fans who play little detectives, says Heilo. The cupboard hanger that was stolen is white and of the Brenderup 7300TB type. The trailer has license plate number SW 3648. According to the artist, it may be that the trailer is marked with “Dekk og Felg AS”. The trailer that was stolen looks something like this. Photo: Brenderup – I have a lot of instruments and a lot of tour equipment in the trailer, because I don’t have room inside, says Heilo. – Can’t afford to buy a new one. The artist is dependent on the trailer and music equipment being ready. – It’s at such a level that I don’t know how to cope without this equipment. That’s all I have and own, says Heilo. She adds that she cannot afford to buy new equipment to replace what has been stolen. – Thoughts of disaster are going through my head now, when I can no longer work at my job. And I don’t have any other job, says Heilo. Sol Heilo is known from the band Katzenjammer. Here from a concert during the awarding of the Brage Prize in 2012. Photo: Heiko Junge / NTB Heilo estimates that between 30 and 50 instruments have been stolen. Among other things, a Celtic harp, marimba and specially made drum equipment. She has made several of the instruments herself. This makes them difficult to replace. – It is difficult when you have specially designed all the instruments yourself and there is nothing similar at all, says Heilo. In addition, she also had all the records she usually sells after concerts in the trailer. – My entire livelihood is gone Theft is also a line in the bill for several of the projects Heilo is currently working on. – I am now creating the soundtrack for Thorbjørn Egner’s new blockbuster, where I play 30 instruments myself, she says. The artist will have a concert on Thursday. Heilo also records music for a play to be staged. Without the instruments, she cannot do her job. – So my entire basis for life is gone. Quite simply, says Heilo. Published 11.12.2024, at 12.28 Updated 11.12.2024, at 23.21
