11 June 2024 at 07:02 Smoke pours out of a building in Bergen Just before 7 o’clock smoke was reported from the window of a building in Kronstad in Bergen. There are several flats in the town and people who live there are evacuating, the police report. Both the fire brigade and the police are on the scene. At 07.04 the fire service reports that the fire is under control, but that they are inside with smoke divers. So far, no missing persons have been reported, says operations manager Knut Dahl-Michelsen in the West police district. Due to the efforts in the city, Bybanen does not get past. There is a diversion via Haukeland, reports Skyss. Highway 582 is also closed as a result of the fire.
