Harwell died at his home in Boise, Idaho on Monday. This is confirmed by the band’s manager Robert Hayes to the New York Times. Harwell as a result of liver failure, according to the manager. His passing marks a tragic day for Smash Mouth fans, of which there are many. His band skyrocketed to fame in the late 90’s and early 2000’s due to their album ‘Astro Lounge’ which featured some of their best known songs such as ‘All Star’.
