SK Brann Women broke the spectator record in the Toppserien with the tregong – news Vestland

– When Cecilie scored, the whole stadium stood up to rejoice. And it was very fun, says Hanna Lehmann Røed. Ho, and large parts of the rest of the girls’ 12-team to Sædalen were among the more than 10,500 who showed up at the Stadium on Sunday afternoon to watch SK Brann Women against Vålerenga in the Toppserien. – It’s really fun to see that so many are at the stadium and watching the girls, says Tora Reisæter Tukum. Even though it is Brann’s women’s team that does it best, the girls do not like the men’s team often getting more attention. – So it is good that people come here so that they see that girls can make a difference, says Røed. WILL PLAY: Several of the girls on the girls’ 12-team to Sædalen will play at Brann in the future. Photo: Sjur Mikal Dolve / news Ask people to come and see the level Before the match, daily camper in Brann, Therese Andvik Rygg, had a dream of breaking all audience records in the Toppserien. According to Norwegian international football statistics (nifs.no), none of the teams in the Toppserien had in the vicinity of the more than 10,500 spectators who were at the match today. The record before Sunday’s match was 3541 supporters, which Rosenborg stands for from a match in 2019. Andvik Rygg is happy that they have broken the record, but says it’s about more than that. – The record is fun, but this is about getting people to come and see how high the level is in women’s football. She hopes the number of supporters will be the new normal. – Rosenborg will meet Brann at Lerkendal soon and is working to take the record back. I hope they do. Nothing was better, says the leader. But the change of stadium also meant a change of surface, from artificial grass and natural grass. At first, Vålerenga would not agree to the change, as a change of surface could have a negative effect on the players. Then they turned around, and at the end of April this year it was clear that two of Norway’s best football teams would play at Brann Stadium. – Now we are looking forward to the match, and to setting a new spectator record in the Toppserien, Rygg said then.
