Sindre Nakken in Ålesund found a large tick on her living room floor – news Møre og Romsdal – Local news, TV and radio

The tick suddenly appeared in the family’s living room. – It was my wife who found it. It moved across the living room floor. So it’s disgusting, says Sindre Nakken. He does not think that it is a human that has brought the tick into the house, but that it is their cat that has brought the tick into the house to visit. – We don’t know whether it was the cat that managed to claw it off, or whether it jumped off on its own because it was full, says Nakken. To document how big it was, Sindre Nakken had to place the tick next to a piece of crown. – It was so big that I had to take a picture of it and film it. It surprised me that it managed to move with this huge bag of blood in tow. But it progressed relatively quickly. After the photoshoot, he put it in a napkin and punched the tick. Would you kill the tick, or let it live? No, I would have thrown it back to nature Yes, I would have probably crushed it Would not have killed it myself, but given the task to someone else Show result Ticks can get big Harald Reiso says that ticks that have sucked up enough blood can grow up to 1 .5 cm in diameter. – Quite large, he says. Reiso is a doctor and adviser at the Tick Centre. He says that this tick is most likely not a danger to humans. Because when it is full, it is no longer interested in sucking more blood. Harald Reiso works at the Flea Center at Sørlandet Hospital. Photo: The tick center He says that if the tick has mated with a male tick, it is ready to lay eggs. Then you can also find a male tick stuck under the court tick. His advice is to just throw it out. – It is not a danger to anyone. So I would just take a broom and throw it back into nature.
