The match was marked by very few scoring chances, but in the last ten minutes the situation was to turn completely around. France pressed on and hit both the crossbar and the post in a short time. With France pressing the hardest, Jamaica’s number 11, Khadija Shaw, received her second yellow card two minutes into stoppage time. Nevertheless, France were never able to break through, and with that Jamaica can celebrate a huge World Cup achievement. France is number five in the Fifa world rankings. Jamaica is all the way down in 43rd place.
