It means that I am not clean and that we must have some kind of system here in Norway which means that we have achieved it, because why would I, from little Norway, be able to do this at a weightlifting event, explains Koanda. She shows news several examples of the comments that appear on Instagram. – I think it is absurd to think that there is someone who thinks so far, that there must be some system here at the Olympiatoppen that will cultivate me, she continues. At times, she uses the online roles as motivation to become even more aggressive in her sport. – I think it’s really nice to focus on the fact that no matter who you are, what you look like and what you’re good at, there will always be someone sitting behind the keyboard scratching their ass a little and who thinks it’s a lot of fun to comment on something, just to have something to do. – What do you think of people sitting like that? – I actually get some motivation from that too. There are people who say that this is not possible as a pure practitioner. If I think that “there are actually some people who think I’m doing something completely insane, so they don’t even believe it” … Then there must be something, the weightlifter replies and smiles broadly. – I’ve had biceps since I was in diapers. It’s nice to know that I can actually do it. I don’t need to prove anything more, she says. I wouldn’t say that I receive a lot of racism, but there is something like that, says Koanda and shakes his head. Translation: The Norwegian woman does not look Norwegian.
