20 January 2024 at 17:18 VG: Several similarities without credit in Health Minister Kjerkol’s master’s thesis Health Minister Ingvild Kjerkol’s (Ap) master’s thesis has several passages with identical text to other academic theses without Kjerkol having given them credit, writes VG. news has also examined Kjerkol’s master’s thesis in the program Copyleaks, and found several similarities with another master’s thesis that was delivered at Nord University in 2019. Kjerkol delivered his master’s thesis on welfare technology in home care on 30 August 2021. He wrote the thesis together with a fellow student. The Minister of Health tells VG that she denies having copied other people’s texts. The co-author has not responded to VG’s inquiries. Research and Education Minister Sandra Borch resigned yesterday as a minister after admitting to having plagiarized other students’ master’s theses in her own.
