12 April 2023 at 12:15 Several people punished for buying black services Several people have recently been punished for buying black craftsman services from the same painting company in Oslo, according to a press release from the Police. The conditions took place in the period 2019–2021. The tax authorities discovered the conditions and reported them to the Oslo police district. Several similar cases are under investigation. The painting company’s business model has been to offer customers artisan services at an artificially low price, and then not to report taxable turnover associated with the assignments. In this way, they have evaded taxes and fees. The customers, in turn, have enriched themselves in the form of low-priced services against cash payment. These are serious conditions where black services are offered in a system and offered to consumers on a large scale. The tax authorities are satisfied with how these cases have been followed up by the police. – We are concerned that gross tax evasion is uncovered and punished, says head of tax crime Erik Nilsen at the Swedish Tax Agency. The punitive action for customers is a substantial fine, as well as confiscation of the tax evasion itself. In one of the cases, this amounted to a total of approx. NOK 50,000.
