Several people are said to have been attacked with a knife during a town party in the town of Solingen in Germany. The Bild newspaper reports several deaths. Rescue work is underway at the site. According to the newspaper, a police helicopter is circling the area. It was during a celebration of the city’s 650th anniversary that the attack took place. People are asked to leave the area.
