A few weeks before Jonas Aarseth Henriksen was found murdered, several of the accused are said to have test-fired the presumed murder weapon in the forest. It was TV 2 that first reported on the case. The police previously did not want to comment on the information to news. Police inspector Odd Skei Kostveit now confirms that the tree has been seized and that it has been sent to the Norwegian Crime Investigation Agency for further investigation. – The findings are not decisive and they correspond to explanations from several of the accused, says Kostveit to news. Here, the police have taken the tree with them. Photo: Ole Edvin Tangen Weapon not found The weapon used to kill Henriksen has not yet been found, VG has previously reported. The police believe the murder weapon is not decisive for a trial. A woman has been sentenced for selling a weapon to one of the accused, the so-called Noresund man. The woman was arrested in mid-October. In court, she described the Noresund man accused of murder as a close friend. According to her, he was interested in two weapons she had inherited. At the weekend, news was able to report that the police are linking a used car sale to the murder. One of the accused is said to have sold a car to the Spanish man who had his identity stolen. Five still charged During autumn 2023, five people were arrested and charged in the case. The police have charged all five of them with murder or complicity in murder. They believe that the accused have had different roles in the case, and that the motive must have been of a personal nature. All five deny criminal guilt, and only one of the men, the Rena man, is still in custody. Tip news’s crime group: Do you have information about this case or other crime cases?
