Several American media report that Khalik Shaik Mohammed and two others have entered into an agreement to plead guilty to the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States. Mohammed was arrested in Pakistan in 2003. According to the New York Times, the agreement means that by pleading guilty they will avoid the death penalty, and instead have to serve a life sentence. According to the newspaper, it is expected that they will plead guilty in a court hearing as early as next week.
