She does not wish to comment further on the case at this time, because she has not read through the judgment. Found an unlocked mobile phone on the street The case was brought up one autumn night in 2022. Then two police officers came across an unlocked phone lying on the ground in the center of Fredrikstad. No one in the area acknowledged the phone. The police therefore opened the mobile phone, hoping to find out who owned it. In the camera roll, they found a photo of the 42-year-old’s passport. They also found what appeared to be the sale of half a kilo of amphetamine. The following day, the 42-year-old’s home was searched. GHB and associated production equipment were found there. In a safe, the police also found around NOK 180,000 in cash. It is not known whether the 42-year-old will appeal the sentence. Photo: Benjamin Vorland Andersrød / news – Cynical and professional The court believes the 42-year-old has run an extensive business selling many different types of drugs. Deleted photos from the phone show that the business has been going on since 2018, but that it may have started as early as 2015. The catchment area is said to have been in Bergen, Oslo, Vestfold, Østfold and Ålesund, where he had various collaborators. In addition, drugs are said to have been sent around the country through Posten. The judgment also refers to several messages in which the 42-year-old threatens intermediaries who are allegedly in debt to him: Defendant: Call me by 1430! If that doesn’t happen, you’ll end up a fucking idiot with enemies you don’t want. On the contrary, I sell the debt, lose a few thousand. But at least you don’t have to think about this any more. You, on the other hand, will get a hell of a lot of unnecessary trouble! – The scheme appears cynical and professional. Threats of reprisals with violence are made, either carried out directly by the defendant himself or via intermediaries to collect the debt. Didn’t want to explain himself The 42-year-old didn’t want to explain himself when the case went to Søndre Østfold district court in June. He has been questioned three times by the police, but has only explained himself to a very limited extent, according to the judgement. – He has not acknowledged any records beyond the few records where he has been caught red-handed, it says. The 42-year-old’s defender has not yet responded to news’s inquiry about the case. It is therefore unknown whether he will appeal the sentence of eleven years in prison.
