British authorities have already said no. The court’s chief judge, Lord Reed, read out the Supreme Court’s conclusion on Tuesday. The Scots voted no to secession in September 2014. First Minister Nicola Sturgeon still believes that people must be allowed to have their say again after Brexit, because most Scots voted to remain in the EU. The Prime Minister wants a new referendum on 23 October 2023.
