The preparations for the payment of Refund 5 from Fonavi are in full swing. The National Federation of Fonavistas Association of Peru has confirmed that the Technical Secretariat has coordinated with Banco de la Nación to enable registered Fonavistas to collect their refunds starting Thursday, May 14.

Eligibility and Criteria for Beneficiaries

While the payment date is approaching, final steps remain for an official announcement. This includes establishing the beneficiary list, focusing on those who previously contributed to the now-defunct housing fund of the Peruvian State. As per Infobae Peru, adjustments to the eligibility criteria will be made during the Ad Hoc Commission meeting on May 7.

The proposed registry for the Reintegration Group 5 includes ex-fonavistas aged 67 and above and deceased contributors who were 88 years or older as of May 31, 2026. Heirs of these individuals will be eligible for collection as usual.

The Ad Hoc Commission has clarified that the beneficiary register will likely include around 70,000 ex-fonavistas, with a total disbursal exceeding S/260 million. Those who have already received refunds in prior groups will not be eligible for this payment.

Payments are scheduled to begin on May 14, with collection instructions to be provided based on the last digit of each recipient’s DNI (National Identity Document).

Future Payments: Refund 6 and List 23

During recent sessions, there were instances where representatives from the Executive Branch failed to attend, leading to delays in payment schedules. What was initially set for April is now expected in May. Additionally, there’s news about upcoming funds for future reimbursements, highlighting the importance of Article 14 of the 2026 Budget Law. This law allocates resources for new Fonavi payouts this year.

  • Refund 6: Projected for August 2026, pending final budget confirmation.
  • List 23: Expected to be processed in December 2026, with payments assured.
