Low-budget film The total budget for the film is NOK 6.9 million. The usual budget for Norwegian films is NOK 25–50 million. – It is absolutely fantastic. That’s what a happy producer, Mona Johanne Hoel, tells news. The Amanda Prize The Amanda Prize is a Norwegian film prize that was established in 1985 on the initiative of the film producer and director Bente Erichsen. The prize is awarded annually in several categories at the Norwegian Film Festival in Haugesund. In 1993, the award included films from all over the Nordic region, but from 1994 it was again a Norwegian film award. The prize is a statuette by the sculptor Kristian Kvakland. The award’s name and the statuette itself refer to the goddess Amanda from Haugesund. Source: Store norske lexikon – It’s great just to get this recognition of being nominated, says Hoel. The Amanda Prize is awarded in 21 different categories at the Festiviteten in Haugesund on 23 August.
