25 November 2022 at 11:35 Salmon company cancels another meeting with Vedum Once again, one of the big salmon companies has canceled a meeting with Finance Minister Trygve Slagsvold Vedum. The meeting with Lerøy Seafood Group was on the minister’s meeting schedule today, and the topic was supposed to be the controversial ground rent tax. But CEO of Lerøy Henning Beltestad did not have the opportunity to attend a meeting in Oslo today, according to Lerøy’s communications department. The company says a notice of cancellation was sent to the ministry earlier in the week, but the email address was incorrect. Lerøy wants to make a new agreement with Vedum, says communications manager Aina Valland to news. Also last Friday, Vedum was supposed to meet the three largest farming companies about the salmon tax, but the agreement was cancelled.
