9 November 2022 at 13:15 Russians prosecuted for filming with a drone in seven places Charges have now been brought against a Russian in his 30s who was caught for filming with a drone in several places in Western Norway. The man was caught after flying a drone in Ullensvang. Now the indictment against the man is ready. Here it is clear that the Russian is accused of having flown a drone in seven different places: • October 13 in Bykle and Lysebotn• October 15 in Stavanger• October 19 in Hjelmeland, Bjørheimsbygd and Preikestolen in Rogaland.• October 22 in Tyssedal in Ullensvang The man is being prosecuted for breaching Section 2 of the Sanctions Act, which are Norway’s sanctions after the war in Ukraine. The Russian and his defender demanded to be released, and appealed the case all the way to the Supreme Court. He is still in custody in Bergen prison. His case is the first to go before the district court, in Hordaland District Court on 15 November. Later in November, there will be trials against three other Russians who have flown drones in Norway. These cases are in the district court in Vadsø and two cases in Tromsø, PST informs news.
