The base was hit by two Katyusha rockets, according to the news agency. There are also Norwegian soldiers on the base who contribute with guarding and security, confirms the Norwegian Armed Forces’ operational headquarters to news. – We are aware of the attack. No Norwegian soldiers are injured, says FOH spokesperson Henrik Omtvedt Jensen to news. He describes the Norwegian group as a minor strength contribution. According to a Reuters source, the rockets hit the inside of the base. It is not clear whether the attack caused material or human damage, according to the sources Reuters has been in contact with. The airbase has been attacked several times in the past year. – We have taken this into account in the risk assessment, says spokesperson Jenssen in FOH.
