Road closed after rockslide in Flekkefjord – news Sørlandet – Local news, TV and radio

Just before 17:00 on Tuesday, there was a rockslide on Selandsveien in Flekkefjord and large stones are blocking the road. The landslide has occurred near Egene’s campsite, the Agder police state. The road will be closed until a geologist has examined the site. – It can happen tomorrow at the earliest, says operations manager in Agder police district Miriam Stausland to news. It is unknown how long the road will be closed. The police say it is unknown how many people are involved. The municipality has been notified of the situation and will take care of the residents. Geologist will start work in daylight. – The road will therefore be closed through the night, so the geologist must look at it before it is advisable to start any clearing work, says Stausland. The road the landslide has taken runs from the E39 into the buildings on Seland. Big landslide County director for transport and property in Agder county municipality, Olav Olsbu, says there are about 50 cubic meters of rock that have fallen out. – There are some masses of rock that have slipped onto the county road within the campsite there. The construction manager and the police are on site. A geologist will arrive tomorrow morning, at the same time as we are calling out machines to secure the area according to instructions from the geologist.
