Risk of explosion after a fire in a commercial building

The police in Trøndelag reported the fire at 11.42pm on Saturday evening. The commercial building has, among other things, a cafe, workshop and second-hand shop. All persons in the building have made it out of the building. No one is injured. Due to information that there is acetylene gas in the building that is burning, an evacuation has been initiated. – Evacuation is underway because there is a risk of explosion in connection with the fire, says operations manager Øystein Volden at the police in Trøndelag to news. Which adds that a safety line of around 1,000 meters from the fire has been set. – We assume that there are around 50 – 100 residents who have to be evacuated, says Volden. So far, 20 people have been evacuated. Midtre Gauldal municipality has opened evacuation centers at Støren and Haltdalen.
