The 26-year-old delivered the longest jump of the day at 110.5 metres. Thus, the supreme World Cup leader will go out first in the cross-country later on Friday. Riiber goes out 42 seconds ahead of Jørgen Graabak, who is seen as the best-placed challenger. Graabak is number three in the World Cup. Trønder was third in the show jumping behind Japan’s Ryota Yamamoto. Aleksander Skoglund was the first Norwegian in action. Before the start of the race, he admitted that he was quite nervous, because it is the first time the 24-year-old is taking part in a World Cup race abroad. Skoglund finishes as number 39 in cross-country skiing. Riiber’s biggest competitor, number two in the World Cup overall, Austrian Stefan Rettenegger. The Austrian delivered the eleventh best jump of the day.
