Right twice as big as the Labor Party in Trondheim shows recent opinion polls – news Trøndelag

– No, now I was almost a little humbled and moved. It makes for fantastic motivation. That’s what the mayoral candidate for Høgre, Kent Ranum, says when he hears the words from the latest opinion poll in Trondheim that Norstat has carried out for news and Adresseavisen. According to the latest municipal poll, Høgre has a support of 33.4%. This is a further increase for the party since the last opinion poll in November of 28.5%. This means that Høgre is twice as big as the Labor Party in Trondheim. – It is important to emphasize that it is only a measurement, and not a result. But, as I said, it gives me crazy inspiration to keep going together with the others around me in Høgre, adds Ranum. Or even more important, that we should do even better in the election, says mayoral candidate in the Labor Party, Emil Raaen. But it is not just Høgre that the Labor Party is losing votes. Both Raudt and SV grew in the measurements in the municipality, with 10.8% and 14.6% respectively. – When the numbers show that we are almost as big as the Labor Party, it is obvious that something is on the table. Me is ready to take that responsibility should that be the result. That’s what Mona Berger in Trondheim SV says. She is a candidate for mayor and it is a role she is ready to fill. – The fact that Høgre is doing well now only motivates us to put in extra effort in the run-up to the election, says SV mayoral candidate Mona Berger. Roald Arntzen in Trondheim Raudt was surprised when news called and told about the support for the party: – Oh, I thought it was good since you called, but it was really good, said the politician. Photo: Lars Erik Skjærseth / news – We will go to great lengths to avoid Høgre gaining the power of mayor in Trondheim. So we are prepared to cooperate with the other parties on the left, says Roald Arentz in Trondheim Raudt. And even if Berger in SV stands as a mayoral candidate, they are open to cooperation on the left regardless of whether she ends up in the role of mayor or not. – It is not the position in itself that is decisive for us, but it is clear that we are going to the election with a mayoral candidate, we want that position and we are concerned that we are the right people to manage the city further, she says. On the right, Ranum hopes that the party it will be natural for them to collaborate with will do the best they can in the autumn election. – I have been clear, from day one, that the Liberal Party, Frp, the Pensioners’ Party, but also the Center Party, KrF and MDG are parties that it would be completely natural for us to keep the door open to. – Both Ap and Høgre need help Political commentator in news Trøndelag, Linda Bjørgan says it is an open question who will get the mayor in Trondheim after the autumn election. Political commentator in news Trøndelag, Linda Bjørgan. Photo: Stein Roar Leite – If Høgre continues its progress and Ap continues its decline in the run-up to the election, the table is set for Høgre mayors. If the opinion poll is the election result, there will be a horse-trading with all the other parties to get a majority. And many keep the door open, nothing is decided here. – There is still a red-green majority in Trondheim, but the left has become redder and then it depends on whether Ap will swallow the Red camel in the fight for the mayoral succession. The Trondheim election is more exciting than in a very long time, says Bjørgan. Høgre also grows in Trøndelag Also in the county poll for Trøndelag, it is Høgre which grows the most in support and has 25.9%. It is against Ap with 21.4%, Sp with 15.9% and SV with 10%. – There is a long way to go and this is just a survey, but in this particular survey, it seems that many people most want Høgre to take control of Trondheim and I am humbly grateful for that, says Ranum. Both mayoral candidates were motivated by the opinion poll and are ready to put in the effort, and think it will be an exciting election campaign against the election on 11 September. – In a strange way, I am motivated by the opinion poll because I know that I have a good policy and I need to get out and talk to the voters. Both about what they are busy with, and about our solutions, says Ranum.
