Rescue operation at Snøhetta – person picked up by air ambulance – news Innlandet – Local news, TV and radio

A woman fell and slipped down a cliff between Vesttoppen and Midttoppen on Snøhetta this morning. She was brought out of the mountain area in Dovre. – The person has been taken out by air ambulance, and the extent of the damage is still unknown. That’s what rescue manager Andreas Ingsøy at HRS Southern Norway says to news. The air ambulance has transported the patient to Snøheim. From there, the patient will be transported further by the SAR Queen helicopter from Ørlandet to St. Olav’s hospital. Investigating whether more people need help – It is now being further investigated whether there are others in need where the accident happened. The air ambulance is on its way in to see if there are more people who need help, says operations manager Atle Bernhoft von Obstfelder in the Innlandet police district, to news. The police in Innlandet reported at 10:55 that they had launched a rescue operation at Snøhetta. It happened after a report that a person had fallen between Vesttoppen and Midttoppen. Snøhetta (2286 m.) is the highest mountain peak in Norway outside Jotunheimen.
