Rune Hekkelstrand, who is operations manager in the Oslo police, says that they received many emergency calls from people who had both seen and heard shots being fired at a car. The car that was shot at drove away from the scene, while another car drove in an unknown direction. It is not known how many people were involved in the incident. The person is not seriously injured, says the incident leader to the press at the scene. – We are in contact with a person in a hospital who has injuries that are compatible with him having been involved in the incident. He is conscious, and the police are working to find out what role he had in the case, says Hekkelstrand. The man must have visited the hospital himself. Lined up at exit routes The police are looking for those involved and have lined up at exit routes out of Oslo in the search for cars. A dozen patrols will be involved. – We have had very large resources used to locate the two cars, without which I can go into detail about the result now, because there is still a lot going on, says Hekkelstrand. Photo: Annika Byrde / NTB The police currently have no concrete suspects after the incident. – We examine video surveillance, speak to witnesses and examine other channels that we have, to find out who has been involved, says Hekkelstrand. On Twitter, the police write that they have investigated a Tesla that was parked nearby in the parking lot. They believe that this may have been involved in the case, and have therefore towed it in for further investigations. Photo: Annika Byrde / NTB Looking for Tesla They are looking for a dark Tesla that may have suffered damage to a tire as a result of the shooting. – The other could be a larger Mercedes, says Hekkelstrand. According to the police, there were many people in the car park when the shooting happened. – But we have no information that shots were fired at innocent people or third parties, says Hekkelstrand.
